this piece features a branch from a cherry tree in spring, covered in blossoms. I love the unexpectedness of the brown and the dimensionality provided by the cherry blossoms stitched on top and the bobbin quilting. The title comes because the central blue panel was a leftover scrap of fabric designed by my mom for one of her quilts, this piece thus became its little sister.
